WW-AC has been commissioned with the general planning / project management and construction owner representation of an office property in Cologne.
DEKA Immobilien GmbH owns an office property in Cologne covering a total of approx. 11,600 m² rentable space. Approximately 5,000 m² of this leasable area is to be refurbished or modernized while day-to-day office operations are continued. WW-AC has been commissioned with the general planning / project management and construction owner representation of this somewhat complex measure.
Düsseldorf, 12 June 2018 – In autumn 2017 CBRE Global Investors, the owners of Sevens on Königsallee, Düsseldorf contracted the Aachen architecture consulting company, Walter Wiese Architektur Consulting (WW-AC) for the general planning services.
The architectural office will in future accompany all forthcoming projects in the exclusive shopping mall, including tenant modifications and modernization work. It has always been important for the owner that the modern appearance and the special architecture of the center help to make a visit an enjoyable experience and that Sevens can make a name for itself as a hotspot in Düsseldorf.
That was the reason why CBRE Global Investors decided on Walter Wiese Architektur Consulting – an architectural office which has had experience in the key fields of planning, building and cost and construction optimization since 1985. The project portfolio of WW-AC includes several shopping centers and they have special expertise in this field. The renovation of the old Desigual rental space started at the beginning of March 2018 and is the first major project WW-AC will realize for Sevens.

Over an area of 19,000 m², Sevens is home to 35 premium businesses, including 11 restaurants and 2 bars in the food lounge, which has an exceptional range of gastronomy. On 25.05.2018 the General Data Protection Regulation [GDPR] came into effect. This EU regulation also means many technical and organizational obligations for architecture offices.
For us at WW-AC the responsible and secure handling of data has always been a top priority. Nevertheless, we have used the introduction of the new requirements of GDPR to address this topic and ensure that the data of customers and partners are treated securely in accordance with the new regulations.
We have concluded a master contract with DEKA, a real estate investor with a portfolio comprising nationwide some 250 properties. This general planning services contract covers the real estate portfolio of the West region (Düsseldorf and Cologne with an area of ca. 384,000 m²) and the North region (Berlin and Hamburg with an area of ca. 464,000 m²). We are looking forward to a successful cooperation.
In autumn 2017 the Aachen architecture consulting company Walter Wiese Architektur Consulting was commissioned with the general planning for the SEVENS Center in Düsseldorf.
The tasks set for WW-AC included not only providing support for the tenant modifications, but also the continued development and refurbishment of the SEVENS Center. For this undertaking, CBRE was, with WW-AC, fortunate to gain a general planner and contractor with many years’ experience in the retail branch and also a specialist in cost optimization. New rental contracts have already been signed and the reconstruction measures and the new openings will follow in the course of the year.
